According to Cleveland.com, this weekend Let’s Get It Started by the Black Eyed Peas could be heard at tipoff in the Olympic Basketball Stadium in Beijing. Team USA beat the team from Spain Saturday night 119-82.
This is just more proof that Americans dominate the sport of basketball, even halfway across the world. And of course part of the American basketball culture is featuring songs like Let’s Get It Started at the beginning of games to get the crowd and players pumped up.
The members of the chart-topping group should feel honored to be part of such a worldwide event.
